About the course

For the first time, we are offering our world-class 200 hour yoga teacher training completely online, over the space of four months, from May 10 - August 29. This course is designed for yoga students with a consistent practice who are ready to deepen their practice and step into the role of the teacher. If you complete all the course content, you will receive a Yoga Alliance certified 200 hour Yoga Teacher qualification, recognised around the world. You will be guided the whole way by Bess Prescott, Tahl Rinsky and an incredible faculty - Rose Baudin (Ayurveda + philosophy), Dena Kingsberg (Philosophy + voice) and Dana Diament (anatomy).

Weekly schedule

  • Daily practice

You will practice 6 days, with one rest day. For five days, you will practice our Creature Yoga livestream class, plus 30 mins of guided pranayama and meditation. Once a week, Tahl or Bess will teach an exclusive 90 minute workshop class focusing on asana technique.

  • Theory

Each week, you will receive a 2 hour pre-recorded lecture from Rose, Dena or Dana. 2 hours on techniques, alignment, teaching skills, philosophy, mantra and other topics from Tahl and Bess. And fortnightly live calls (1-2 hours) to answer your questions and hang out together! These calls will also be recorded if you can't join us live.

  • Practice teaching

Each week you will spend at least 1 hour practice teaching, virtually, with one or more of your fellow students, giving and receiving feedback from each other.

Bess Prescott

Bess grew up on the ocean and then an organic farm nestled in the Blue Mountains, Australia, spending a childhood in wonderment of the earth, the sky, and all the mysterious beings that lived between. She has been practicing yoga more than half her life, beginning at age 14 when she began a daily practice with the help of a Louisa Sears video she found in her mum’s cupboard. She has been graced with years of study with incredible teachers, including Rose Baudin, Sally Kempton, Dr Robert Svoboda, Elena Brower, Carlos Pomeda, Clive Sheridan, Tara Judelle, Rod Stryker and Gwyn Williams. She is in love with the Goddess in all her forms, and shares deity practices through meditation, mantra, pranayama, and asana. She lives in Byron Bay and is the co-owner of Creature Yoga with Tahl Rinsky. She has been teaching yoga since 2011 and is Yoga Alliance ERYT500 certified.

Tahl Rinsky

As a committed practitioner, teacher, and mother to three beautiful children, Tahl lives and breathes the teachings of yoga throughout every aspect of her life. Born in NYC and raised in Israel, Tahl now calls the beaches of Byron Bay home where she co-owns Creature Yoga with Bess Prescott and teaches regular classes and trainings. First introduced to Ashtanga as a child by her Mom, Tahl established her own practice upon returning to New York in her late teens. In 2012, pregnant with her 3rd child, she completed a 3-year teacher training (2000 hours) with Dena Kingsberg and has been teaching yoga since. Forever a dedicated student, she continues to study with Elena Brower, Rod Stryker, Rose Baudin, Carlos Pomeda, Clive Sheridan and Gwyn Williams. As a teacher, Tahl shares a creative and accessible breath-focused Vinyasa flow influenced by ashtanga in a strong, fun and dynamic style. Her classes celebrate the raw beauty of life’s moments and the individual strengths each of us carry within. Tahl is Yoga Alliance ERYT200 and RYT500 certified.

Rose Baudin

Rose Baudin has studied and practiced yoga since 1968 and has taught since 1987. She met her mentor, Swami Gauribala Giri, in Sri Lanka in 1971 and was initiated into the Parampara in 1984. During the 16 years she lived in India, she was instructed by master teachers in various schools of yoga: Hatha (Clive Sheridan), Iyengar (Clé Souren, Shandor Remete) Viniyoga (Gary Kraftsow) and Ashtanga (Dena Kingsburg). She has had extensive meditation experience under the guidance of S.N. Goenka (Vipassana), Zen Master Hogen-san Yamahata (Soto Sect) and Sayadaw U Janaka (Satipatthana Insight Meditation). She was introduced to and taught Ayurveda by Dr. Robert Svoboda who also instructed her how to perform the ritual of Agni Hotra in the way of his mentor, the Aghori Vimalananda. Since 1986, Rose has been based in Australia teaching yoga classes and leading meditation retreats. She is a senior teacher of yoga philosophy, pranayama and meditation for Creature Yoga. Rose has been conducting yoga intensives, residential retreats and seminars internationally for the past 30 years. Watch a little bit of Rose here: https://youtu.be/NuNb70cG9As

Please note that we cannot guarantee certification if you submit assessment tasks later than 6 September 2020.

  • How much work will the course involve?

1.5 hours of daily practice (with one rest day), plus about 1 full day (6 hours) of theory and practice teaching per week. We will have regular live calls to answer questions and hang out. Extra study at your discretion!

  • How long can I access the course content for?

You will have access to the course for 6 months from the purchase date. • What about assessments?
